Hula Rolla-Hoop

That's what Norah calls it, "rolla-hoop," not hula-hoop. But she can do it, even though she can't pronounce it. Here are some pictures and video proof...

On another note, the quote of the day for Norah is, "I wish I had jewels in my teeth. Maybe when I'm older like six, or seven, or eight, or nine, or ten, or eleven, or twelve, or fourteen, or seventeen." Where does she get this stuff?

Uh... Clothes Have to Come off FIRST!

I was sitting here at the computer, right next to the bathroom while Norah was hanging out in the tub. Haddon had no interest in the tub, and I didn't need to give him a bath, so he was just happily playing in his room. It was peaceful.

Then H comes out of his room, and looks into the bathroom. He went in, and I thought he was just talking to his sister.

"Mom! Haddon got in the tub! His clothes are on!"

There he was. Clothes all on, and smiling away. I took his shirt off, and then had the presence of mind to grab the camera. This is one to be documented.

5 out of 6

Starting this weekend, Casey will be preaching five out of the next six Sundays. This weekend, he will be visiting sweet friends in Woodland and preaching at Grace Reformation Church. I hope that this is a good time, and an opportunity to be encouraged by the saints there.



In the following weeks, we will be visiting with a church in Bremerton, WA as well. Over the course of these visits, we hope that we will get to know the dear people there, and determine if serving there in ministry would be the right thing for both our family and that church family.



Needless to say, the month of May is going to be a time in which we are stretched, and we will need wisdom from the Lord to discern what the proper course of action is. I could write so much about our thoughts, the questions we have, and all that is on our hearts. But I won't right now.



Right now I simply ask that anyone who subcribes or follows this family blog of ours to pray, for we need prayer in the coming weeks. Pray for our faith and trust in God to be strong.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."

My Friend, "Elk Broad"*

We are blessed with our friends The Edelbrock Family. Norah and Tayler are close in age, and the girls have fun together.

Here they are at the park and at Norah's birthday party. You can tell the difference in their personalities from the picture. Tayler is an outgoing, fun little girl, and Norah tends to get a little more reserved around her peers.

*Norah can't say Edelbrock, so it comes out Elk Broad... Like Jamie said, at least it's not Broad Elk! Oh Norah!

Dandelion Puffs

When you were little did you make wishes on dandelion puffs? Well, Norah does, and this is what I witnessed today:

Norah, skipping around our weed-infested yard, stopped and picked a dandelion puff. She walked over to the chain link fence, and said with great conviction, "I wish I had I little sister!" Whoosh!

Then she exclaimed, "I wish that my brother had a little brother!" Whoosh! More tufts float into the air.

Maybe someday, but for now, it's fun to let her wish away and instruct her to pray for those blessings.

A Huntin' We Will Go...

for Easter eggs, that is. Not sure if anyone in our family has been real hunting, but at least Casey has branded cattle- that's something not everyone gets to do, and it's quite rugged and manly.

But I'm on a tangent. Let's get back to the point. Norah and Haddon searched our little yard for Easter eggs on Sunday, and they had a fun time doing so. Norah was so happy to get pennies, and Haddon felt gypped if there weren't M&M's in an egg.

We really did have them dressed up cute for Easter Sunday, but we didn't take pictures. Oh well.

Carousel

We took the kids downtown to the Riverfront park today. They rode bikes (well, Haddon was pushed around on his), played at the playground, and rode the carousel. Here are some pics (that I snapped with my phone) from the carousel portion:
